WATERCOLOUR MONOPRINT WITH FOUND OBJECTS
This workshop is over, but I hope to be doing more soon. If you would like to be notified of any workshops, sales or shows I am doing, you can sign up on the Contact page.
In this workshop, I demonstrated watercolour monoprint on Japanese paper (washi) at the Japanese Paper Place , 77 Brock Avenue (Dufferin and Dundas area).
I demonstrated a unique process for using watercolour and found materials such as leaves, wood, and leather – to print on washi. I will show you which Japanese papers and which watercolour pigments work best for this process.
Because most washi has little or no sizing, it is challenging to use watercolour with washi. I demonstrated strength of pigment and paint application methods to control bleed and migration in subsequent glazes.
